ARTIST STATEMENT

Attention to detail, passion, and appreciation for beautiful organic and inorganic elements of life drive my art practice. I’m using any method, medium, or skill within reach to enhance and reach my concepts.

Creating unique and inventive designs across disciplines that combine the elements of my style, mood, skills and curiosities.

Transforming ideas into reality with every new artwork I create. Creating and doing the things I never thought possible for someone like me, ignites me and fuels my desire to share the possibilities with my under-presented community.

I have the vision of transforming physical and virtual spaces into breathtaking places to have experiential encounters and make new memories with others. To work creatively is to live on my own terms, and have the flexibility I need to also fulfill my other roles as a human in the world. I plan on making a difference by bringing beauty to the universe, by igniting others to do the same in their own way and to live artfully and beautifully.

“My mission is to express myself in a way that inspires others find their own form of alchemy and wield their own super powers for the good of our world”

Artist BIO

Creatress Sarai Mora is a VR performance artist who paints and sculpts with light. Experimenting and exploring mediums like photography, videography, painting, sculpture, glassblowing, and performance arts. Creatress is a self described, Multi-Disciplinary, Multi-Dimensional and Multi-versal artist creating in multiple realities, tangible creations like wearable art, but also virtual reality 3D sculptures that can be experienced both in the physical and virtual realms.

Sarai’s love for art began at an early age, inspired by her Grandmother Pilar Mora Camarena who has been creating her whole life with any materials available to her including mounting flowers and insects; an art form passed down from Luis Camarena who was a noted entomologist, artist, and Sarai’s great grandfather. Originally from Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico, Sarai Mora has been living in Southern California since 2001 and now lives in a small town in Maui, Hawaii.

Appreciation for the cycles, ebbs and flows, the beautiful organic elements of life inspire her art practice. Her first works minted as NFTs are a series of VR extra solar butterflies; inspired by her ancestors, and symbolizing metamorphosis and transmutation of the soul through time and space. The butterflies remind us there is beauty in transformation, no matter how hard transformation may seem.
